Pros - Knowledgeable and patient instructors and TAs - Relevant material taught throughout course - Hands-on approach to instruction helped expedite learning of material - Comprehensive advice for resume-building, job search tips, etc. Cons - Learning experience felt more individual rather than collaborative, which may largely be due to the fact that this program was online. - Some challenges coordinating meeting times with career mentor and getting responses to follow-up questions

During the boot camp, you have the chance to work on and present projects that you are passionate about, using all the skills that you learned and really making them yours. After the course, I was assigned a mentor (the best in the world) to help with my resume and interviews in June 2022 until I landed a DA position in January 2023. During that time, I have been working on an internal project(Build an ML model) and on actual client project( a mix of data engineering and data analyst jobs). This really helps me to gain strong work experience in the data field. I highly recommend WCD, It was definitely one of the best decision I ever made.

Read More have network nor industry experience. For me, WCD was a great choice because of the following reasons. 1) Their client projects gave me opportunities to gain industry experience. I did projects for companies in finance, healthcare, and education. In the job interviews, I mentioned these projects when presenting my skills and experience. 2) I could receive references from people I worked with in various client projects. 3) I also want to mention that their support after the bootcamp program is excellent. After completing the program in 2021, due to health/family issue, I had to pause my job search for a year. When I resumed job search in late 2022, they still provided a great job support even I was not in the recent cohorts. I got my job because I received a strong referral opportunities available to WCD alumni. The team is dedicated and extremely supportive. If you are looking for a strong job support, opportunities to gain industry experience, and expand professional network in this field, I highly recommend WCD.
